Low Smoke Cable Glands

Safety and Reliability. Taking into account the Health & Safety requirements for people occupying public places, all kits in this range are supplied with dip-moulded PVC Low Smoke shrouds. Specially formulated from low-halogen compounds, these shrouds reduce the risk of smoke and toxic fumes. On-site feedback has also shown that the increased pliability of these shrouds makes them easier to install. You can be confident that only top quality materials and design practices have been used.

    good set of 2 cable ends

    This set of 2 cable glands for the correct mounting of armoured cable into boxes work very well, I used one into a metal fuse box and it secured nice and tightly with little fuss and the protective cover you just have to cut to the right size cable which means you can get it nice and tight around the cable to seal it.The other I used on the connection to my outside plug socket box which is plastic and once again it tightened securely and has been very water tight, again you cut the end of the cover off to keep it tight around the cable, I would say go smaller than the cable as it can stretch so it gives your armoured cable a good tight water resistant seal.Overall, I am very impressed with the set and that have all the fixings you need while being a good price.If you have found this review helpful, please hit the helpful button as this inspires me to write more.

    Great for 16mm diameter armoured cable

    Easy to install. Easy to cut the rubber glands to the diameter of my cable (16mm in my case) and fitted my junction box nicely (see photo).Not the cheapest, but the gland made a newt watertight seal that I can rely on.I’d buy them again.

    Easy to fit and received on time. When fitting, make sure the collet that goes around the shield is the correct way round otherwise you wont be able to close the unit, as it’s tapered on the inside.
